This weekend was a special weekend in many ways as not only did many of our club athletes pull on the blue and white singlet and do us proud, but we paid our respects to Ashling Murphy on Saturday evening following the tragic events in Tullamore on Wednesday, our thoughts and prayers are with Ashlings family and friends 💙🙏🏻
On Saturday our Senior men put in a fabulous team performance to upset the apple cart and take home team silver behind Raheny AC in the Leinster XC Championships. Well done to Stephen, DOC, Garry, Barry, Ian, Derek, Rob, Peter, Lawrence & that man Frank, and Peter also took home individual Leinster bronze and county silver in his age category - a stunning performance from the lads 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 🥈
In Donadea on Saturday, we had many athletes taking on the World Half Marathon challenge.
In Race 1, Tom took home a stunning 3rd 🥉place overall in a brilliant time of 1.21, as Ross ran strongly finishing 9th, while Linda ran a blinder as she was the First Lady home🥇a super achievement 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
In Race 2, Shane ran strong finishing 7th overall in 1.30, while Graham kicked off the season in 1.43.
Race 3 saw our Fit 4 Life take over the forest as Claire, Aidan, Joe, Joan, Caitriona, Sue, Debbie, Kathleen, Alan, Sandra, Laetitia, Eleanor, Anne-Marie & Seamus proved that there really is only one F4L group worth being apart of these days, and that’s ours 😊 congratulations everyone 💪🏻👏🏻
In Leixlip yesterday, our Juvenile sprinters kicked off there season in style in the County Championships!!! We had many great performances as some of our younger athletes competed on the track for the first time in a year and in some cases the first time ever, while our teenagers performed very well, many making finals and missing out on medals in competitive fields.

We returned to Leixlip this morning for the County Championships as our walkers and middle distance runners kicked off there season. Again, we had many athletes across the age groups with lots of PB’s and encouraging performances.
