We will hold a table quiz in Celbridge House Pub on Thursday 6th December at 9.00 p.m.  It has been a long time since we held one and they are usually great fun.  If you know anyone who would be interested please let them know or you might even put in a team yourself.  Great prizes on the night.  Table of 4 … 20 euro.

If you have any Tesco tokens (green) lying around the house would you please give them to any of the coaches as we can exchange these for equipment.

Christine Campion and Vivian Fleischer were our only representatives at the Nationals last Sunday in the Curragh.  Shauna Minnock was injured and Chanice Corcoran ill.  The girls u12 had a very large field of athletes and Christine did very well and finished 61 out of 133.  Vivian was very unlucky in the girls u14 race when she went over and injured her knee but still finished the race.  Well done girls

The next race will be the Uneven age All Ireland Cross Country in Dungarvan on 16th December.  Michelle O’Dea, Alan Carroll and Vivian Fleischer will represent Kildare.

The second Leinster competition takes place in Ballinakill, Abbeyleix on Sunday next at 12.00 p.m. Please meet at 11.00 a.m. for number and warm up. Our girls u11, Sinead O’Connor, Michelle O’Dea, Niamh O’Hallorhan, Amanda Flynn and Roisin Byrne, boys u11, Alan Carroll, Matthew Dwyer, Daniel Cahill, Lorcan Everard, Luke Commiskey and Ciaran O’Connor and girls u13, Vivian Fleischer, Jessica McHugh, Rebecca Cahill, Christine Campion, Shauna Minnock, Roisin Everard and Chanice Corcoran will compete for their club and county. Please note that the indoor season begins this week with Sandra and Shane’s group going to the main hall in the Mill on Thursday 7 - 8. Breda/Tom/Brendan’s group will also go indoors at the Multi D School (beside track) 7 - 8. Please make sure that an adult is there before you drop off your children and also please be there to collect them at 5 to 8.

Congratulations to Shauna Minnock, Christine Campion and Vivian Fleischer who all picked up medals at the recent even ages leinster cross country in Avondale, Wicklow. Shauna and Christine picked up silver medals with the u12 Kildare team and Vivian picked up the bronze medal with the u14 Kildare team. Chanice Corcoran although just outside the medals also qualified on the Kildare team for the All Ireland in the Curragh at the end of the month.  Well done girls and good luck in the All Ireland.   Celbridge were also represented by Sinead O’Connor, Roisin Everard and David Campbell who were just outside the medals. Sinead and Roisin did extremely well in their first ever Leinster competition and still have to run in their own age groups next Sunday. Click here for results
